Roles for Every Skill Set

Firefighting & Medical Response

Join our front-line team and respond to structure fires, wildland incidents, and medical emergencies throughout the Crystal Lakes area. You’ll be trained to handle a wide range of emergency situations—from fire suppression to patient care—while working alongside a dedicated and experienced crew.

Wildland Firefighting Only

Prefer to focus on wildfires? Join our seasonal wildland team. You’ll receive wildland-specific training  and support response efforts during wildfire season. Great for those who want a more focused or seasonal role.

"When I moved to Crystal Lakes, I never imagined I’d end up leading the fire department—but this place and these people have a way of pulling you in. What started as a way to serve my community quickly became a calling. I believe in running this department with professionalism, heart, and a good dose of humor—because when things get serious, you want a team that’s skilled, calm, and connected. Whether you’re responding to a fire or helping a neighbor after a fall, it all matters. And there's no better crew to do it with than the one right here in Crystal Lakes."
